Nicholas Ward, line producer and production consultant

The Plan Should Be as Real as the Creative

I’m Nicholas Ward, a Los Angeles based line producer, production manager, and consultant with more than a decade of production management experience.

I spent more than nine years as Head of Production at Herzog & Company from 2015 through 2024. I oversaw projects from early development, budgeting, scheduling, and staffing through production, post, client relationships, and final delivery.

My work spans documentary television, streaming series and specials, branded content, digital production, live events, and independent media. I have worked as a line producer, executive in charge of production, production manager, and consultant.

I created My Media Budget to make experienced production thinking more accessible to creators, filmmakers, documentary teams, and smaller production companies that may not have a full production office behind them.
